Peter - I bought a replacement pad for my old Porter Cable 5" R/O sander on Ebay and I'm pleased with it.
only thing is the rubber is a bit more "firmer" than the original. (or - the original was so deteriorated I didn't notice).
worth a shot - much cheaper than buying another sander.
what sources have you checked so far ??

Hi
John
I bought what I thought was a soft sanding pad from preferential something in China . They sent a hard polishing pad which did not fit my Festo properly. The top of the disc did not contact the pad brake on my Festo et2e sander. This would have resulted in the sander creating swirl marks on placing the running tool down and raising it from the workplace. I am still looking.
