when looking for more information Craftsman Flex Drive table saw. to see how well it holds up.
Because in my mind the cable Drive is less strong versus using belts or direct drive which is now fairly common compared to 40 years ago.

It held up fine with what I was using it for. A decent fence and blade stabilizers and it handled 8/4 and thicker hardwood just fine. As long as the envelope wasn’t pushed too far, there wasn’t anything wrong with it.
