I'm going to make some router skis and have Harry's plans. He had provided plans for the rods and I remember seeing them but now can't find them. I believe he threaded the ends of smooth rods. Can I use full threaded rods instead so I don't have to go through the threading process? I saw one comment concerning sag if the rods weren't strong enough but don't know what the weight of their router was. I have a DeWalt DW618 router
Thank You. I don't have a lathe to thread the ends of a smooth steel rod. I suppose I could just use threaded rod. Any thoughts on where/how to get the lathe work done? Metal working shop, maybe?
