I have been wanting to do inlay for awhile, but I am tired of the standard commercial stuff, so I am exploring this . The pictures shows the method I used to put a radius on the inlay pieces to match the groove in the large ambrosia maple piece. I double stick tape the pieces to the jig, and then run a router on each side to make the curve. The offset must be very precise to get the inlay to fit in the groove with no play. Maybe ya'll could use this with a table top, or other thing you may wish to make. Have fun

Looks good. I like the sense of achievement you get after it turns out well. I bought myself an inlay cutter and bush for one of my routers and tried it out on a beech table I had built. I inlaid Mahogany into the legs and drawer front and was very pleased with myself at the outcome. It just looks so classy when it's finished. Great work. :)
