What do you need it to do. I watched an episode of The New Yankee Workshop on the net recently where Norm had a router sled that sat on his lathe rails for fluting columns.

Charles I don't know if the Yankee Workshop can be looked at by a non subscriber but if there is a link then I would like to see that sled. N

And if it hadn't been for James posting that a few weeks ago I wouldn't have known either. Thanks James, I've really missed not being able to watch his show on PBS stations.

Not sure what you are after. I built a fluting jig I found in a magazine with the intent to use it to rough out pen blanks. If you turn on the lathe while using a fluting jig, you have a dowel maker or pen blank rougher and it does work. But it ties up your lathe.
