Router Lift Question

I’m not sure which category this question best fits, so if Admin thinks this belongs somewhere else I’ll re-post.

I have a smaller shop and long ago I decided I didn’t have the floor space for a router table. My router is Bosch 1617 EVS PK and I have a Kreg table that I’ve modified by adding a cleat. The Kreg unit hangs on a wall when not in use alongside my trusty old Black & Decker Workmate. When I do table routing I set up the Workmate and the position the cleat in the jaws. Then I pull the router out of it’s case and set up to do my routing. (see pics)

As I age making adjustments to the router is becoming difficult so I’m wondering….is there a practical, light weight, router lift that I can add??? Could I leave it attached to the table when hanging? or will I need to add with each use?

Occasionally, I think about making the router table a fold down unit hinged to a wall. But that would require lots of changes to the shop and I’m not sure I’m up for that.

Anyway thanks for reading and thinking about my little problem. Stay safe!

This is the tech sheet for that router
http://go.rockler.com/tech/RTD10000265AA.pdf
on page 21 it shows how the plunge base can be depth adjusted from above the table. If you dont have the plunge base, nows the time.

Even the fixed base can be adjusted from above the table. I have used mine that way before I acquired a lift. You might have to drill a hole in the table for the hex key to go through to adjust the router. The only thing is that you have to reach under the table to unclamp the router base for adjustments, then reach under to reclamp it before turning it on. I just left it installed under the table and used the plunge base for hand held routing.
It might be kind of hard to hang on the wall with the base attached, you might have to make an extended hanger bracket. Or buy a closet intermediate support to hang it off of.

I too have a black and decker workmate hanging on my garage wall for 30+ years. I just finished building garage storage units using my dewalt job site saw clamped into workmate. Today I sold my large router table. I expect to replace it with woodcraft table top router table w Bosch 1617 and Jessum lift and mount it on workmate when I want to use it
