I love my Veritas router plane. it is one of those elegant old time tools that you don't use often, but there is nothing like it. The Veritas plane has an attachment for making inlays that provides perfect results with just a modicum of care.

Lee Valley sent out a link today on how to tune up a router plane. Great information. https://www.leevalley.com/en-us/dis...ood-Get-More-out-of-Your-Veritas-Router-Plane

The pix is of the router plane with various irons, the other is the accessory for doing inlays. Beautiful tool, isn't it? :laugh2:

I have Veritas’ mini version for hinges - haven’t used it yet but is a cool tool for this fool. Whatever you get, be sure it comes with a knurled/threaded height adjustment - manually adjusting these things is cumbersome.

When it comes to woodworking tools, if you you want it, you need it! (I’m as guilty as anyone in this...)
