Routerless in Saskatchewan

Well, I used to have a router, but it was stolen. I used it very little, and always hand-held.

I am in the market for a router now, and wish to build a table. My biggest problem right now is that my shop is in an unheated garage.

Hello, Larry, sorry to hear that your router got stolen, hopefully soon you'll find a replacement.

Anyway, welcome to the forums, glad you decided to join. If you have any questions feel free to ask!
Hi Larry Sorry to hear that someone else needed your router more than you. Perhaps Santa has something in his sleigh! This site is a great place to learn a lot about the equipment and procedures. Hopefully you can get some heat in your work area, or enjoy the weather we are having next door in Alberta. Where abouts in Sask are you. We are about 60 minutes West of Lloyd. There are a few good places in Edmonton if you ever get that far West. Welcome and good luck.
Larry welcome to the forums. Sorry about the your router. Living in Saskatchewan, I'm sure you will need some kind of heat. Oak Park has a nice router table, like the one used on the show (Router Workshop). Anyway glad you joined us.

Definitely will need some heat. I can do stuff in the garage, but the amount of clothing I have to wear creates a bit of a safety problem.

I like the one on the show, but I think I prefer to build my own. I can't think of a better way to start learning.

I get there occasionally, usually about once a year, to see a Canucks game.
We are just east of Regina (about 25 miles), on a farm.

Thanks (to all) for the warm welcome.

Hi Larry
Welcome to the forum. Sorry about the theft of your router. If I was living in Sask. and working in an unheated garage in the winter I would be looking for a replacement with heated handles.
I couldn't resist. Kind of a west coast thing.:lol::lol:
