Routing a 45 degree slot.

First post and greetings from the Scottish Borders.

I have seen a you tube vid where it was mentioned in passing that they had screwed battens to the wall with a 45 degree edge. Then they made boxes to keep stuff in and routed a corresponding slot in the back of the box to "hook" it onto the batten. Suggestions for the bit please?

You can get a router bit that will cut a 45 degree chamfer. I'd suggest using a router table to get the best cut and to have the best control when using such a large bit. Amazon UK has several available.

I would agree that a table saw might be easier if you have one in your tool arsenal.
