Could some one help me on this one..when routing out say a bowl, how do you keep the one side of the bowl from not getting a little rough, because the bit is going the other way on the other side....thanks,,ken

Welcome to the forum Ken, when using a sharp cutter there is rarely a problem. There are occasions when, taking great care, it's permissible to reverse directions* so as to avoid damage on end grain. Take a peep at this old project of mine, routing a box and lid from solid wood, it may gives you some ideas.

*reversing the movement of the router of course, not it's rotation!
