doesn't the poly scratch and wear making the need for resurfacing w/ poly....

Based on the article, I think it's on a par with paste wax (which gets scraped off too) in terms of fragility. He put the poly on but wiped it off wet making for a very thin layer. It clearly did better than paste wax when undisturbed. That is particularly good to know for storage or longer periods of disuse.

I love these kind of articles - some one actually tests it. You always hear lots of opinions but, to me at least, this sort of thing is gold.
