Wow, not a very good response, especially for a safety issue...
If it has happened 2 times, I would dice it. Not worth the risk.

My switch has either a faulty design or a faulty manufacturing process. I have not seen any evidence that this switch went through the UL approval process. The lack of interest by JessEm in discussing this issue with me is troubling.FWIW, I have used the same switch for a little over 2 yrs. now with no problems.
Your customer experience with JessEm and Incra are an exact mirror of mine. I find Incra to be very responsive. While I've not had problems with the switch, I've had terrible service from Jessem's Customer Service dept. on a question about its lift -- no response to my request for information either. I contacted Incra even though my Jessem router plate and lift were manufactured by Jessem and not Incra, and the Incra Customer Service responded almost immediately and they answered my question. Incra invited me to call them any time I have a problem with the Jessem lift/plate. That's customer service.
