Does anyone know where to get accessory parts for a Sawsmith Radial Arm Saw?
Specifically, I'm looking for the arbor attachment for routing and drilling.

The aux shaft on Shopsmith's Sawsmith RAS was 1/2 20 tpi. A standard 1/2" Jacobs Drill Chuck will fit right on.

Since that is the same size and thread as the aux on the Craftmans Aux shaft (and Dewalt), if you can find a router bit adapter for one of those (more common) it will fit on it. They show up on EBay every once in a while. They are for 1/4 router bits. As I remember, use up to 1" bits at speed 58. (It's variable speed.)

Any aux accessory for a Craftman RAS'es aux will work for the SawSmith.

More of a challenge to find now a days is that it took 9" blades with an 1-1/4 arbor. To use the original blade arbor, you usually have to find a 9" blade with a 5/8" arbor, take it to a saw shop and have them bored. But since the arbor shaft on the blade side is 5/8", you can use arbor parts from other saws to adapt it to 5/8" arbor'ed blades. I see the 1-1/4" molding heads for them on EBay, but very rarely. You can use the Craftsman molding heads on them if you mount them directly to the 5/8" arbor shaft (using 5/8" arbor flange washers and nut).

Welcome, Phil. You may have more luck finding Shopsmith related items on the Shopsmith forum at Shopsmith Forums - Powered by vBulletin . They are a bunch of dedicated, real nice, guys and are really well versed in all things ShopSmith. They are always eager to help and someone there may just have what you need or know where to find it.
