I have got Dremel 1423 model saw,but the policy of Dremel has made me switch to other brands or makes I can find here in Turkey. The blade holder has been deformed after tightening and loosing it thousands of time.I tried to get a new part but it has been impossible, and in the end Dremel -Turkey replied me that the machine is older than ten years, and so I can not get that part.
Cheap Chinese machines are better since I should throw it away because of very simple parts if I cannot get it. Why pay more ?

The scroll saw recommendations sound great if I was going into business - lol. At this time I am not sure how much use it will get. The Dewalt + Excallibur are a little steep for my budget. Hoping to find a GOOD, NEW one under $300. Unfortunately, I have no one that does any wood work in my area to try one.

Hi Denise

Use craigslist: denver classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events you will find many , many do the same as you get a lower price one and then move up to a bigger and better one,so to say they sale off the lower price one and use the money from the sale of the old old..
