BJ has got the order correct, although any of the 3 will do a good job for your intended purpose. Mostly depends on how deep your pockets are.

I have had my Hegner for over 25 years and it has always outperformed any other scroll saw I have tried. It has never let me down, I always use the appropriate blades.
It is great and I thoroughly recomend Hegner.

The blades are just as important as the brand of saw. I have the hegner 18" work's fine for me. I use flying dutchman blade's from here

I, too, have an old Hegner that continues to serve me well. And, a few years back, I inherited my dad's old 24" Delta scroll saw (probably '50s-vintage). I need to go through the latter to recondition it, though, as I'm guessing the oil in the sump might be past its prime.

I recently bought a Hegner QR top wheel for internal cuts. That speeds it up a bit.

I own a Dewalt 788 scrollsaw , being a scroller now for over 14 years ...started out with a 16" craftsman scrollsaw - wore out the jaws on it .....I've used this Dewalt 788 now for over 4 years , it's a great production saw .........
