Thanks for the compliments. These are really very simple to make.Each layer starts as a solid piece of wood that you cut out the inside and the outside, then glue and stack the layers. The only real trick is not to get the order of each layer mixed up. This an old pattern that I have had for a long time and forgot about it till my wife was cleaning out a closet and found one that I made about 8 years ago. I was looking for some projects to sell at a craft store that was simple and easy to make and I could use scrap lumber that I had lying around. When she found her basket I decided this would be a great project to make for what I was looking for.
