If they aren't terribly whacked out you might get a thread chaser which is a bit less intimidating than a tap and die set.I believe I damaged the threads on my DW625. I have no idea how to service something like this. I cannot get the collet cover to screw on, it gets stuck. I have inspected the collet cover which seems perfect. I have pics of the threads. They don’t seem to be trashed beyond measure, but I think I can see some issues.
is this section of the router a part easily replaced? Do I need a machine shop to redo the threads? How do I go about an affordable fix?
