Shelf with sliding dovetails

A little shelf to put under my wifes TV. Made from what I think is Mahogany that has been in my shop for several years, part of an old bed.
Ripped it down, pass through the planer, pass through the sander, square one end and cut to length. Did a little layout and decided on this design.
Sat up a dovetail bit in the table and made a quick sled to run 4 dovetails, used the same bit setup with the fence to make the dovetails on the slides.
Put several coats of Minwax wiping poly and a couple coats of wax. This will hang on a french cleat under the TV.

A drum sander is kinda like a Radial Arm Saw, people either love them or hate them. I love mine, it has a little learning curve but after that it is a real time saver, and saves my hands also.
Nice shelf with nice joints, Clay.
