Sherwood router lift (Australia)

Hi, Just wondering what peoples opinion on the Sherwood RLIFT-2 router lift are?
They have the router lift and a router on sale for $699.
I plan on making my own table, then buying a fence.

Cheers
Gordon

Seems very pricey. I'd think instead of getting a Triton TRA001, which is less expensive, lots of power, and has a built in lift. It is made in Australia as well. It's a terrific router. If you want to see it in action, look up the cabinet building videos by the late Marc Sommerfeld. He was a cabinet maker and his methods are simple and terrific. This is what it looks like. It is 2400 watts, very powerful and several safety features I like.

Here's the link to Triton tools with details. https://www.tritontools.com/en-AU/Product/Power Tools/Routers/TRA001

The American price is $309, Aussie about $461.

Sorry Tom, Triton and Australia have been divorced for the best part of 20 years. Although they originated here, they sold out a long time ago, and these days swap importer/distributor every three years or so. Every time they do so, the very limited spare parts and support dissolves. Current distributor is a chain with 1 woodwork supply store in each of 4 or 5 states and they offer very limited wholesale supply to competitors, ie they keep Triton as a virtually exclusive line. Our best chance for parts these days is a couple of parts suppliers in the UK if there is a voltage dependent requirement, or UK and US for general spares.

Thanks Tom,
I was looking at a round body router that I could just leave in the table as i already have a plunge router, the Triton looks a good router and if I found a 2nd hand one I would go that route.
Thanks,
Gordon
