You can transfer a laser printout to wood in several ways. After placing the printout face down on the wood you can dampen the paper with lacquer thinner or wintergreen oil and then burnish it down to transfer the printout. This technique works best when the wood is sanded very smooth. Another option is to use a rubber stamp to mark your work. I use one that is fast drying and intended for multi-surfaces.
