Working on some oak table legs using a bearing pattern bit and no fence on the table.
I was getting a bunch of router dust and shavings all over the place had to keep cleaning it up.
Then a light went off in my head and it illuminated what you see below.
Simply enough it is my beat up floor sweep I use with ny dust collector..
I simply taped it to the router table stuck a 4 in hose on it and most (not all) of the router waste was captured.
Best part of all if you don't have one you can get one for under 20.00 bucks .
Typical example https://www.amazon.com/POWERTEC-701...t+collector+floor+sweep&qid=1671827368&sr=8-5

Simple. Elegant solution.
Thanks Tom for looking in.
It was so simple I almost missed it. In my youth ( well behind me now) I would have stopped dropped and rolled into a complicated build to do a simple job. I am much older now, I move slower, and I see more...KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID

Thanks James for looking in.
I had to dig mine out of deep storage too. One mod I am going to make is to add a shim to raise up the the height of the opening by an inch, (25mm) or so. I had a straight cutter at 2 1/4 inch ( 57mm) above the table . The sweep cought about 85% of the material, kicking it up some should improve it a bit and catch what I could see going over the top of the sweep.
