I just received an email with a link to, and after the third try, have successfully downloaded Sketchup 2017. For personal use there is a period of 30 days free use of Sketchup Pro, then the free version thereafter.

I just downloaded it yesterday, too, after 2016 said it was available. I also had some trouble downloading, but after a couple tries, finally got it. Changes since 2016 are here:

WOW! Lots of changes and fixes.

In never could use 2016. Whenever I would launch it, the opening screen was too big for the screen and I couldn't get to the buttons at the bottom of the page. No video changes or anything would enable me to get to those buttons, so I gave up.

I will try to 2017 version and see if I have any better luck. I like the help for color blind folks like me, although I am only partially color blind. Yeah, I know. It's tough on a photographer especially the red/green stuff. :frown:

Mike...some applications (and things like projectors) prefer a certain screen display size...try this (if you haven't already) change screen size in Display properties (right click on desktop, Properties) or Control Panel, Display...

Thanks. I think I tried all the display combinations but I will check again. The 2015 version works just fine... as does every other application on the computer. Somebody decided to put the screws to me in the 2016 version! :surprise::smile:

This is a laptop I am working on with a 22 inch monitor hooked up to it. After reading all the updates and changes for 2017, I am wondering if my laptop will even pass the graphics card requirements.
Mike, I was worried about the graphics card on my laptop, too. At least on the Mac, 2017 installed without touching 2016, so I could always go back to 2016 very easily.
