That's 250.04 USD. Going for $219.00 here. But beats $650 for sure!

Hi Rick,

Last october I shopped around for this kit and the best price I found at the time was $289 (Summit Tools here in prov. of Quebec). I shopped in the tools stores and on the internet across Canada. So my guess is that $290 is a good price.

My .02$ (cnd) :)

Good grief do we pay a premium to live in Canada . Never understood why

Ok I never realized that was reconditioned . That doesn't count lol

+1 on the Reconditioned stuff. My experience on buying recon (not just Bosch) from CPO and Factory Authorized Outlets has been with zero problems, advertised accessories there, tools run, condition has never been worse than a week of hobby use would have it in.

My theory, unscientific and unproven--is that:
1. a lot of these are just store returns for no reason. My Bosch jig saw had enough pvc dust to tell me that somebody bought it for a home plumbing job and returned for a refund. Other than that one, the rest of them look new.
and/or...
2. all of them get tested more thoroughly than when they left the assembly line as "new tools". I'd speculate that some duds get sorted out that could have been on the shelf of my store--but the testing tech found the problems.

All guess work on my part, but much less of a crap shoot than Craigslist--though i do my share there as well.

Sounds like Stick has all brands of tools as long as they are Bosch. When you are in his kind of production,(2200 drawers) you need reliable tools. They may cost more to start, but save you money, and peace of mind in the long run.

Hi Rainman1. Going price in US is $219. Until Dec. 22, Acmetools.com has it for $209 with promotional code "Holiday2014". Don't know if it pays to have someone buy it in the US and ship it through customs to you in Canada. Stick has a great reconditioned price.

Yeah, why does Canada have to pay more? Market should be similar, but I am no economist.

Oops, I missed page 2.

$209 + 60% = $334.40. Better off buying in Canada. Hmmm :(

Stick is there any reason to pick the MRF23EVS instead?

Update : I just looked at the MRF23EVS and see it doesn't have plung capability , at least I think.
