Precisebits (Tinker and Tinker) and on eBay, check out a seller “Drillman1”. Both have bits that are very small (less than 1/32)

You can also use v-bits. I like the 30 degree ones for very thin cuts. Both these sellers also have these.

Warning: you need to clean out the collets very well, have very low runout, and a very rigid machine to be successful with these tiny bits.

I haven't been here for a while. A LOT has happened in the past several months. At the moment I am doing nothing with my machines. On Labor Day 2018, my back threw me to the ground in my shop. No cell service inside, so a 30-minute crawl with more pain than I ever thought I could feel finally got me a cell signal. 9-1-1 took me to a hospital where they told me my spine was "straight as a ruler" because my back muscles were having spasms, and they were straightening out my lower spine from stress.

So I am moving around again now, but still not back into my shop.

I bought a retail building on the Square in the center of town and remodeled the interior. Long story made short, the building is currently on the market again. I had six vendor booths to sell my metal and signs, but I recently closed all but one of them.

I started up a business, and things were going well, until ...

Now I am trying to decide what I will do in 2019.

Geez people are cut throat ,and almost makes you want to give up on the human race . Especially seeing as it was your design and labour .

Also sorry to hear about your back issue . That doesn’t sound good . Is there anything that can be done?

Oh, Don't give up on the human race yet. I'm still thinking about stealing Dave's paddle design but haven't actually done it (YET) 😉
And a few of David's longworth chucks would sell nicely in my Etsy shop too!!! 🙂

If you steal it -- then I am too.

Copying is also a big big problem on Etsy. Complaints coming in all over. People are not only stealing the designs, but posting the copied pics with the original water marks, and even the shop name and artist. Then there's the overseas bunch that just blatantly steal the whole shooting match and cheapen them up, mass produce them with basically slave labor, and flood the marketplace. Etsy doesn't seem to care - as long as they get their fees.

The Edsel plates were not the cause of the drama. It was other stuff. I have largely lost all faith in humanity as a result.

This was my latest endeavor. I invested a whole bunch of money into buying this building, and remodeling and improving it. It is up for sale again now, but if I get back into this, I may keep the building and try to make it work in 2019.
