Stylized Spartan helmet

Playing around and practicing with the blender software. About a 10 minute pattern so nothing great but hopefully can be used by someone.

Threw it onto my cnc software just to see how it would look. Texture not included. :)

Finally did some fun renders playing with applying materials to the 3d model.

Stick, added some rust and pitting in this version.

Why would you deprive the world of your visage with a helmet?!?! lol

They would be scared. lol.

More practice on applying textures to rendered models. Technique is interesting. The texture is accomplished by applying displacement to the material and not the geometry. There are distinct limitations but also a lot of possibilities.

An STL port of this model would be completely smooth without the texture. The texture in this case is virtual. You can apply the displacement to the geometry but that is a different process but creating much larger files.

Oscar, you have talent...

does it fit???
Stick, thanks. With my pumpkin shaped head I doubt it.

My troops, a long time ago, challenged me to shave my head if they did well on an inspection. They blew the inspection out of the water so I had to take off my beautiful locks. My head would have made babies cry. I think I might have been dropped a few too many times as a kid. :(
