Hi I am new to woodwork and have just purchased a Makita Rpo900 router and wanted to mount it under a table , is this model able to be mounted for this purpose and if so can the bit be raised from the base ( when mounted)

Hi Jim, I have the same router mounted under a portable work table with a home made setup (Quick and Easy Portable Router Table DIY - YouTube | Diy router table, Router table, Router table plans) and it works beautifully.
I've also added an on/off switch in the router cable for control, with duct taped wrapped around the trigger
