I had a friend asked me to make her a box for storing her tea bags. She wanted it 4 inches high by 11 inches by 11 inches. I made it out of ambrosia maple and used walnut for the partitions.
As a tea drinker, I really like this box. I found Irish Breakfast tea actually has more caffein than coffee, it's the best morning waker upper. That ambrosia maple is striking!
Extremely nicely done, Malcolm. While I am not a big fan of Ambrosia Maple I love tea like there’s no tomorrow. I need to add a tea box to my list of projects...thanks for another great example of work.
I have a 95 year old aunt. My uncle met her in WWI waiting around for D day and they got married after the war. My uncle came back on a troop transport and my aunt came across on the Queen Mary to New York and found her way to Shreveport LA where my grandmother lived.
My aunt likes to drink tea and her doctor told her to stop drinking tea and she was miserable. The English have tea with every thing. Recently the doctor gave her the ok to drink 2 cups of tea a day I gave her a selection of English tea but she wont drink it. She says she will save it for special occasions.
Unfortunately when you are 95 there may not be many more special occasions to celebrate.
My aunt is old school and came up through the depression, WWII rationing and has allays been frugal.
This only proves you can take a horse to water but you cant make her drink.
Malcolm this is just a simple divided box with a profile cut on the lid for a little decoration, BUT the workmanship is outstanding and that ambrosia maple really great. That is what we have come to expect when looking at your projects.
Another good job, Malcolm, That is always a good project,for the house. Imay have to make a tea caddy too,will put it on the list. I love ambrosia maple.

What's ironic is I either drink a cup of Irish or English Breakfast just before I go to bed at night. It knocks me right out, go figure. When I was a kid our Catholic Pastor was from Ireland and he would go home every summer and always brought me back some real Irish Tea. I do miss it alot. By the way he had a great Irish name Father O'Brien.
