I am a certified master gunsmith operating a business in Mount Pleasant, Utah. I do wood, metal, welding, machining, fabrication, and what ever presents itself as a need. I am a big fan of antique tools both hand and power. I have the utmost respect for true craftsmen who are smart enough to realize there is still so much to learn. Working with my hands brings me great joy. I am grateful to the Good Lord for giving me these talents and I hope to use them to make people have joy as well.

Hello and welcome to the router forum,
@American1911 - welcome to the forum - as already stated, if you update your profile and include a first name, it will make communications more friendly - we have too many people named "n/a" already.

I'm always on the lookout for old hand tools too - just seems to be something about them that makes using them pleasant - I've got a few old Stanley hand planes (one of which has 3 patent dates behind the frog).

Take and post photos of your project - we like looking at pictures, but keep in mind you cannot post links to photo-hosting websites until you reach 10 post, but you can post pictures from your local hard drives/devices at any time.

Welcome to the forum:)
Welcome to the forum. Is 1911 a reference to John Browning?
Welcome to the forum. 1911 refers to John Browning and his Colt invention, I'm sure.
Welcome to the forum.
Welcome to the forum! As has been said, complete your profile with first name and get that N/a off. We're looking forward to seeing what you do and having you jump in on discussions.

He also said he was a master gunsmith so a small step as opposed to a jump.
