I not only took the double sash windows apart to see how they were made, but took a door apart, from one of the inside rooms. The New Yankee Workshop, would not like the way they were made. No tendons, just two 1/3 inch pegs for each corner. They were easy to drill out, but to my surprise The panels were glued. No floating panels. It took me about four hours. I did get one panel out. I woulds say that it was made out of Popular. I milled down the 1X4 stills and rails for use in some future project. Not only do I have a lot of glass from the sashs, but have two six food boards and three 30 ich boards. At my age not only is talk cheap, but salvaged lumber. Now, what is my next project? Oh yes, cut up all of those sashs for the wood burner at the Trap Club.
