I have had this type of setup for about a year or so and it works fine, the only issue I have and I don't really know if its an issue, it might just be a design.
After i set the height, i reach down under the table and lock the router so it doesn't vibrate off the measurements, however, if i have to make minor adjustments after i make a pass, when i release the lock, the bit drops down a little and i have to measure all over again, it only happens after i make the cuts and release it to adjust.
Am I doing something wrong, or is that the way it supposed to work, it has done ever since it was installed in it.
