They can be prone to jamming and not winding when inverted in a table. The issue here is dust entering the bore of the plunge guide tubes, falling down to the lower part of the case and compacting there. Best solution is prevention by blocking the base end of the tubes of the tubes before mounting to the table insert, and removing for regular maintenance and cleaning every year or so. They can also work down on the depth winder with vibration unless you lock the height with the plunge lock after setting, a very minor inconvenience.
