Ideally you unplug the router for safety's sake. Using his or Freud matching bit sets means not changing bit height when you drop in another matched bit. But video makers often skip safety measures for the sake of flow. The on off switch is a second safety device, so turning that switch off also prevents accidental startups. Looking at my Triton, I don't see another shaft lock, although I haven't used it for awhile.
