I've got the newer one but don't really know whether the older one can be converted. Harry Sinclair in Australia is the guy who turned me on to Triton and he might be able to answer. He goes by HarrySin here. The other option is to contact Triton's tech people to ask. Otherwise you're on your own, the best that can happen is it works, the worst is that the router is toast. I think that model has a lock so you can push it up and down for gross adjustments, then reach under for the exact adjustment. 60 £ is not a lot to lose on an experiment, but the possibility of losing it a consideration. I'd want to use a micrometer on the new and old parts before starting, so you're in it for the new parts if you try. Personally, I'd use it as it is and enjoy the bargain.
