Kind of wondering what the difference there is between the TRC001 and the TRA001 Triton routers and if parts are different

Welcome to the forum.
I have the TRA, but reading about it, the C is almost identical except for a couple of improvements. A more sawdust proof on/off switch, a different 1/4 inch adapter than the original, and a cap for the spring column that stays on the router. The reviews are excellent. The customer service is very good too. I think the Triton is equal to or better than any other router made for the table. My opinion anyhow. But for me, it's too heavy and top heavy for hand held use.

Welcome to the forum @Wisedm

I have a TRA001 and TRB001, and there is not much difference.

Minor changes to the plunge lock mechanism?

I had in the back of my mind, that the main difference was in the HP power rating. One is HP and one in Watts? 3 1/4hp -v- 2000watts?

What is the reason for the question?
I don't think there is a current TRC model. At least not on the TritonTools site. Are you sure it's not an old model? I found a followup review on the TRC, but it was from 2004. My initial post was based on that review, but I only just now noticed the date. I know there was a model before the TRA, and the TRA was a definite improvement. One thing I like is that Triton has a small sled that allows you to run the TRA001 on the Triton track saw track, which is identical to the Makita track.
Also, I just checked my older TRA001 and this does not have the 'through the table winder'. The TRB001 has this.

The reason is that my TRC001 is in need of repair but I can’t find a parts diagram for this model which I need to identify the correct part number. Also I need to know if there is a parts supplier here in the US.
Hi @Wisedm ,

Can't help with a parts supplier in USA. I obtain my parts from the UK...

Can this help you?

Try these people for spares. This was linked to the Triton Tools web site..

Thanks James. Good information to keep on hand. I also have their track saw. Nice machine.

I found this website helpful for parts. I got mine in 3 days in the US

TRC and TRA are most likely same except a few new parts but the basic design is same in my knowledge. I was even able to modify my router to add the over the table lift mechanism which was initially missing in the older model.
