Has anybody else heard that a Triton 3 1/4 hp router can not be used with a remote switch in a table?
Was talking to a dealer today, and he said that was the only downside to using in a table.
Hopefully he didn’t know what he was talking about.

He may have been talking about a safety feature of the Triton.

It has to switched of at the slide cover to enable full extension to allow for cutter changes.

I have used mine in two different tables with no problem...

Thats what I thought. After watching Sommerfelds videos, I don’t plan to use the lock feature anyway. I’ll just use the spindle lock button like I do on my Dewalt.

Really like my Triton in the table. I actually like the safety feature of the switch going to off when you raise it to replace a bit. It's nothing to reach under to flip it on. And you can use it with foot switch, but not with a rheostat that reduces voltage.

Good deal. Thanks Tom.
You have a musclechuck on yours, don’t you?

No I don't. Harry Sinclair got me interested in the Triton, and he did have a musclechuck in his and loved it.
