Hi,

owning a saintsmart genmitsu 3040, I bought a watercooled spindle. It's to heavy to maintain its hight of course. So i bought an other stepper motor with a 10 x gear reduction. An little increase of amperage (3.2 instead of 3 Amps) isn't going te be a problem, so i hope. I have to make it fit and later on in the g-code I have to correct for the z-axis steps. Anyone ever tried this? Maybe some suggestions ?

Made the next step today… total failure. The little stepper works just fine and now moves 1/10th of the normal distance. As expected. I tried to make up for this bij changing the gcode $102 from 160 to 1600. But that didn’t work. 🥲. It just squirms.
