Using IPAD with Pantograph

Hello All.

I recently bought the MilesCraft Pantograph 1221 model and in looking through the provided letters I had a thought.
It seems to me that my old IPAD would be ideal for using with this. There are tons of available fonts, swiping through letters would be a breeze instead of changing the paper out. Since this model does not offer sizing, changing the size on the screen would be easier. Pictures, logo's etc. Anyway, Im wondering if anyone else is currently doing this. I have yet to try it, so am asking for any pointers, or advise. Perhaps there is already an app or other utility that was not easily found on line. If I have any luck with it, I'll post back.

Thanks,

Steve.

I don't think tracing the letter off the phone would be a problem but aligning all the different letters might be.

Welcome to the forum, Steve! When you get a minute update your profile with first name so it doesn't show N/a in the left panel.

How would you get the image to your pantograph? Is there a USB connection or will you just trace what's on the iPad screen?

When you figure that out, please let us know.
I suppose you could make a set of letters on paper that you've transferred the alignment dots to. But, that changes with the letter size, right?
Thanks for the replies so far. Yes, I was planning on tracing the letters right from the IPAD screen. I believe I would have to measure and set the locating marks as well, unless there is another solution. If I get some time this weekend, I will try it out and post the results.

What a great forum!
