Greetings folks,
I’m a small independent general contractor in the frozen north of Minnesota— I’m trying to find information on the Virutex 2100 watt plunge router w/ tilt base and cannot find any mention of its performance or power on the web— hoping one of you might have experience with it? I’m looking at this one or the festool 2200 but am especially Intrigued by the Virutex. Does anyone have anything they’d mind sharing regarding it? Or any knowledge regarding either— I am currently using the big makita and would like a second big router for building doors. Thank you!

G'day @Lagombuilders , and welcome to the router forum.
I just did a search for 'Virutex' in the forum and a number of posts came up from 2011-2013.
They seem to be an industrial type router.
It would seem not many hobbyists use them.
Are you buying from a 'big box store' or from an industrial supply shop?

Howdy,
Thanks for the replies— it appears you can order direct from them and that they have a Miami Florida based office and distribution center. I figured there may be someone here on this forum that could comment as to the quality or value of the tools, someone who perhaps owns one or has used one. It appears to be made for heavy milling tasks and the power compliment is the same as the makita rp2301 and the festool 0f2200– it does appear to have a gas piston for plunging rather than a spring, and also a 100mm plunge stroke which is nearly 4”.
