Try some baking soda/water mix.

 

Hi Bob, I have had some success using sulphuric acid (drain unblocker) and then wash this off with amonia - best done in a plastic plasterers bath as the acid will not affect the plastic - oh and use gloves, mask etc as it does burn skin very quickly. Hope this helps

 

OK Thank! I may experiment with that. Pool Chlorine seems to be working after about an hour and two applications brushed on. Now trying soaking for a while to see how that works.

 

OK Thanks! I may try that. Might also try Muratic acid but I am trying to get weathered wood for some antiqued picture frames, rough look. I'm tired of prying old boards off of my fence. I am a little afraid of using too much acid around my pictures that I want to frame. Pool Chlorine seems to be working after about an hour and two applications brushed on. Now trying soaking for a while to see how that works. I think I can soak out the Chlorine pretty easy after I am done with this strong solution. Since it is too clod for swimming, I can just place them in the pool for a little while to remove excess Chlorine.
