I gave up with the Skil belt sander repair. This year I couldn’t repair it so I went to some local hardware stores to buy a new one. I was almost decided to buy a Chinese one for USD240 but I saw a Triton model on Rockler's website for USD 170, including S&H inside the USA. I asked Santa for this one and it arrived at my home yesterday, along with some other ítems such as three grit 80 sandbelts, a butcher block conditioner, bowl router bits kit, linear bearings, and a T Allen metric set.

The belt sander is a monster. Heavy and powerful. It can be used handheld or stationary at the workbench. I am happy.

Nice. I like all my Triton tools. Knowing you, it's going to get a workout.

You must have been a good boy all year, for Santa to give you a present like that! I still haven't got a belt sander and I could use one.

Thank you all for your comments. Especially for Tom. Glad to see that you are recovering from your health issues.
