Gosh Ed, I have one of these too. I have used this one, no box, hangs on peg board in basement.

Make perfectly straight wire in to a shape of your liking what could be more fun than that? The hole are used to mount to a board or bench if the wire is a tad hard to bend, the slots are good for angled bends and you add the pins to make S's etc. This is one of my older tools and it has held up well, I might have gotten more pins and lost them, I just remember.
