Oscar, it looks like you have more than enough detail in that model. Of course, that picture is of the 3GB model so I'm interested in seeing how much detail you lost when converting it with ZBrush.

I think I would rather try using the 3GB version so I could adjust the amount of detail I wanted.

Looks like it will still make a good carving even losing the smaller detail and I can see why you limited the file size to 100MB for your use.

But I do think it would be worth the extra time needed to use the 3GB STL model to get as much detail as possible without going overboard. It would also be worth using an extra thick blank to cave it.

Actually, for using a pine blank and a dull bit it turned out alright but could be better out of some good hardwood.
