I suppose I will be in trouble from SWMBO.

Went out and bought a Ryobi cordless trim router, LOL

Going to have to change some habits and make some new base plates and jigs.....

A possible reason/excuse for another router could be "The Other One Didn't Fit My Hand Right"....... ?

That could be handy for small projects. Ryobi does a good job of making it's batteries fit every tool. Looks top heavy.

James on this side of the equator Christmas was several months ago! That's a sharp looking portable. I'm sure you'll find many uses for it.

I've got one of the Ryobi Trim routers, and it's been very handy around my shop and on a major remodel project of our church's parsonage.

That model seems to get good reviews.

Spent today at The Men's Shed making a jig for the router...:)

We hope you have good luck with it James.
I'm learning here, how to acquire some twin tools with good excuses.
Almost ended up with 2 plunge bases for 1 tool here yesterday had my wife not remembered we already bought 1.
That's OK, Robert (@Woodenhearted ), you are allowed to have up to 10 routers before it becomes contagious......LOL. I must have at least 8 now.....

I have 9 routers at the moment and none are wireless. I probably need to get one now that you have stirred up a hornets nest. I have Ryobi wireless tools and also Makita wireless. Once I start purchasing wireless tools it puts me in a position that leans towards that same brand since of all the batteries and chargers.. Too bad the manufacturers do not take trade-ins

I've probably traded or sold more than 10 routers. I've been a bad boy..lol

James,
I do feel I will need at least 1 more bigger router in a table. My wife just read your post about the maximum of 10 routers rule within the hobby haha.
She has agreed to a table along with a permanent router staying put. I will be looking into that more in the months ahead.

@ Rebelwoodworking, I'm trying to stay on the good boy side here lol. I would probably be looking for a new wife if I needed to get more than 2 routers haha.

I'm hoping to join in on the fun once I get set-up in the coming weeks, months ahead.

Guess I was influenced by this post. I just ordered the Makita 18v router and the plunge base from Amazon. I have batteries and chargers, and didn't need to order the entire kit.
