Where do the wrenches go?

I've been watching the Router Workshop for some time now and really enjoy it...

I've noticed that Bob & Rick, after a bit change, just throw the wrenches through the hole in the table top...

I've never seen what holds these wrenches...

It must be small enough to not get in the way of the router...

There is probably a shelf or very shallow box mounted to the front side or hung from the top front.

It may have holes in it to let sawdust through...

It may be just a dish strainer type thingy mounted in the right spot...

Wherever it's mounted and whatever it's made from, it sure looks nice, easy to get to, and just plain great!

Can anyone shed some more light on this?
Like a few picture(s)...?

Oh, sorry if this propreitary information... :) :)

Thank you very much!

Hi Joe

Just my 2 cents.
Bob, just lately has been a bit more conscious about the saw dust because of Rick I think ,he is now using a vac.system more and more to get the chips from the router when they come off, Bob is the old Pro. and is was set in is way, he would just brush them off and out of his way just like, he also just drops the wrenches down in the hole under the router and it works for him and Rick, he can always find them in the saw dust under the router just where he left them.
No strainer that I know about just some saw dust down below. :)

But you will need to get it from Bob & Rick :) to be sure on this one, if you are lucky Rick will see your post and come back to you... :) with some info.

Hi Mike,

Yes, I had seen that one... I was wondering if there was a hidden shelf / basket tucked up toward the top (hidden from view)...

Thank you...

This is no biggy... but it has been knawing at me for some time... :)
they just drop down on the left on the shelf that is where mine go the dust keep them from going any where I made my router table from router work shop I got the one with the shop vac. system sure is nice I also made a base for it

Hi Del,

By "left shelf", are you talking about the bottom of the box?

I don't see a shelf on the left side... there is a sliding shelf-type bit rack shelf drawer on the right... but no shelves on the left (that I can see).

When I see Bob & Rick put those wrenches away, it doesn't look like they are reaching to the bottom of the box... I'll try to watch closer to see where they GET the wrenches, before a bit change... after, it appears that there is something closer to the middle/top...

Thank you...
Now there's a short concise answer that says it all !!
Well done !

OK OK...

(in fewer clearer words :) )
The wrenches fall to the bottom of the box. Now you can sleep nights Joe. :)
Thank you Mike... I feel better already! :) :)
FWIW, I use a couple of REMs (rare earth magnets) and just stick the wrenches to the side of the router table.

Hey FoggyTown!

That's a good idea... Thank you!

I have a hook on the inside of the box with a magnet card taped under it using carpet tape.. The wrench hangs on the hook, and the magnet keeps it from swinging around..
