Well after having some more back issues with doc bending a needle in my back. Then having to use a bigger needle for my injections. Felt like a SC-50 router bit going in my back. Well finally got the wife's piece completed and 1st coat of clear on it. She just got a sneak peak of it and says she loves it. Think I might be able to do the rest of my routing in the house this winter. 😃

As far as detail and precision by hand; I lift my router a lot. I also go by the width of my lines and not by actual depth. If you like that detail then you should love my Harley Panhead Sign. Have actually been accused of using a cnc on it by people elsewhere and another guy's wife accused me of painting it til' I showed in process pictures of it. As far as a video goes I will try to get my wife to take some videos on my next detailed piece.

Thank you John. I used acrylic paint for the pine trees, rocks, water, and chimney. Used a paint pen for the birch trees. A marker for the house. Then mixed walnut and golden pecan stain for the shingles, porch, fence and bridge. Wish I would've thought about mixing the stains for the house before using the marker on it. But at the time the pecan seemed to light and the walnut was to dark.

Nice indeed, but it's the user that is the important part, not the router.

Now, how did you get the router to paint it?

Theo I totally agree with your statement of the user not the equipment. I 1st started out using a 11.4 pound B & D Plunge Router before getting my light dwp611 router.

As far as getting the router to paint it. I drilled a hole through the center of my profile bit and gravity fed the paint. Lol just joking my friend. Used a combination of hand painting acrylic paint, paint pens and mixing different colors of stain.

If you're doing this by hand, KEEP AT IT!!! right now it looks like small stuff, but that kind of talent and skill will continue to grow, and so will the detail of your projects, as you continue to use it. Great job!

Jack I can most assure you all my projects are done by hand. I have done a lot of smaller simplified signs. But on all my detailed projects I do my best to keep raising the bar for myself so that my skill sets do continue to grow and learn something new from each project that I do. Thank you for the great job compliment.
