Will the Triton TRA001 work in the Jessem/Incra Mastr-Lift ii?

I bought the Incra branded version of the Jessem Mastr-Lift ii on a good sale a while back and then life got in the way. Today, I was going by memory thinking the Triton TRA001 would work with that lift (Infinity has it for $324 with a coupon), but after ordering, I learned that the TRA001 is not specifically on the list of routers shown in the Master-Lift ii instruction manual - it does list Triton 3.25 (4.2 motor diam), but I think it may be referring to the motor for an older fixed base router that no longer seems to be in production.

I can cancel the order, but the list in the manual does not appear to be all inclusive, so I am wondering if anyone here is using the TRA001 with the Mastr-Lift ii. I know the TRA001 comes with it's own lift but for $324, I'm interested in just using the motor with the Mastr-Lift ii.

As an aside, it seems that MOST of the suggested routers in the manual don't even exist anymore.

If the TRA001 will work, I will keep my order placed and use if not, would love a curren t alternative. The Pow-R-Tek is expensive and has questionable reviews so am sceptical of that model.

I've included a screen shot from Jessem's site with their non-inclusive list of current compatible reouters for reference.

Thanks in advance.

One big advantage of the Triton TRA001 is that it does not require any additional lift. It is built in.

The TRA001 is a powerful machine, but to me, it's too top heavy to use the plunge feature. To use it's lift, you must remove the spring that makes the plunge base work. I love it in the table though. Many subtle features you don't notice until you put it in a table. I have a couple of Bosch 1617 motors, one of which used to be in my table. But for hand held stuff, in general, I use a Bosch Colt, bur any small router will do. I suspect you won't have a problem selling the Jessem, which will help with the Triton' cost. Finally, ebay has them for $ 325 and I think Amazon and some other sellers do price matching.

G'day and welcome to the forum, @pstennett

I find the Triton cover all the heavier work that I do. although seem to use smaller routers more these days.
