Got a pile of wood from friend. This was in The pile?

Bruce - I've seen Honduras Mahogany with texture like that. In my case, the different colors were "fuzzy" and difficult to get a smooth finish. (but, that was back a few years when I didn't know what I was doing).
Beautiful wood - do you have any plans for it yet ?

I have a piece of Honduras Mahogany that looks just like that - heavy, too.

second piece looks like sapele to me,,very similar to some mahogany, but more stable and easier to work
