Not a major woodworking project, but tis the celebration of Love, etc, etc, etc.

Just couldn't bring myself to purchase another blah blah blah poetic V-card for my wife and I knew she made me a card (she's really good at her craft which consists of several hobbies). So I made this in an hour and she loves it. Handrubbed with cherry Danish oil.

We just now exchanged cards and she loves it! :)

LOL thanks, major brownie points, asked her on a Fri night Valentines date to see the new Bruce Willis movie (forgot the name) and she said YES!

She's not a movie buff like me and it takes a doggone good movie to get her interested. We'll likely go to the Sat matinee, I despise big movie crowds, inability to pause the movie for a healthy snack of sliced apples (formerly buttered microwave popcorn), pause for a coffee refill, pause for a potty break, pause for a phone call, family knocking at the front door, Grandson dragging his PaPa down to play on the floor with him...ya'll know the drill.

Haha thanks Harry, she was kinda giving me that twisted look while in her craftroom and me digging around for jute, think that's what I used for the hinge, got a "really?" comment from her, I laughed and high-tailed it back to my shop.

Great idea, Brett.

My Maree was asking if we had of met in say, October 1968, instead of February 1969, would I have given her a Valetines Day card? Probably not, I am not a romantic......

PS we met in Feb and got married in October 1969..........When you find the right one, you don't let her get away......

Thanks JW, so hey you should blow her away with a surprise dinner and bit of romance, she'll never expect it if you're not a romantic right?

I agree on meeting the right one and hanging on sir! I'm blessed with a great lady.
