Woodworking Projects and Power Tools: A Retired Teacher's Journey

I've found this forum, obviously, and will tell a little of myself.

Retired maths teacher (not like it was ) and married for ..oooo. nearly 46 years.

I've been tinkering with woodwork for best part of 40 years but, as always, there's always something getting in the way of woodwork. I bought lots of power tools several years ago but they got stolen during a burglary. Happily replaced so back in the workshop and starting again.

I've made some stand-alone framed bookcases and other bits and bobs and now the grandkids think it's time to make stuff for them. Once more unto the breach dear friends, once more ...... I expect you know the rest.

All the best

Pete

Welcome Pete, Your the guy I should have paid more attention to in High School because math has a lot to do with woodworking.I am constantly running for my book on math to figure out solutions to laying out projects. I am 65 yrs old and still learning, thank God for calculators that deal with fractions however; metric is another story for me. Once again welcome Pete . zarpman Melbourne, Fl.

Pete, if there is something more fun than building projects for kids I haven't found it. Enjoy the forums.
