Bruce, usnig a different insert for 1/4" and 1/2" bits is the industry standard. You should have no problem with this, it is safe and secure.
Yet another Triton Question
I have a real hang up about using an insert forchucking 1/4" bits in a 1/2" router. For the little difference in price, I would buy the 3 1/2 hp model except that is has that @#$%&^$#%insert.
Would the small collet from the small Triton fit the large Triton? Would the small collet be available as a separate item?
